Harbin Taiping International Airport, which is 35 kilometers (22 miles) away from the urban area of Harbin, is the second largest international airport in Northeast China. The technical level of flight district is 4E, which allows all kinds of large and medium civil aircraft. The 160,000-square-meter T2 Terminal is scheduled to be finished in 2017 and will increase the freight capacity of the airport to three times of the previous.
